LETTER FROM THE DEAN

Congratulations to the Michigan Ross Class of 2025.

Graduating from business school marks one of the most significant milestones in your life and is a testament to your hard work and determination. As your dean, I want to express how extremely proud I am of each of you and how deeply honored I am to share in this celebration.

Commencement offers a moment to reflect on your achievements at Michigan Ross and how far you have come as individuals. It is also a time to look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead. Through hard work, dedication, and initiative, you have each charted a unique path to reach this milestone. You’ve overcome real-world challenges, shown exceptional leadership, and made meaningful impacts that resonate far beyond the classroom. As you leave Ross and go forward to pursue your career, I am confident you will continue using the knowledge and skills you've gained to build a better world.

Today also marks your transition from students to alumni. You now join a prestigious network of more than 58,000 Ross graduates and more than 682,000 University of Michigan alumni living in 179 countries. Michigan Ross alumni are known for being incredibly accomplished leaders in business and society around the globe. They are also known for their deep “Go Blue” pride and for maintaining a supportive alumni network. You are now joining this highly regarded network, and I encourage you to make the most of this experience. As you grow throughout your career, I hope you remember your time at Ross fondly, keep in touch with your U-M community, and feel the support of your fellow alumni out in the world.
